The bike crank, or crankset, is the component that connects the pedals to the bicycle frame via the bottom bracket. It converts your pedaling motion into rotation that drives the chain and rear wheel.
We offer a range of cranksets for various disciplines:
Road cranks: Lightweight, stiff, optimized for speed and efficiency.
Mountain bike (MTB) cranks: Durable, with wide gear ranges and often a single-chainring (1x) setup.
Gravel/Adventure cranks: Balance of road efficiency and off-road durability.
Track cranks: Fixed-gear specific, ultra-stiff and simple.
Electric bike (e-bike) cranks: Reinforced to handle higher torque from mid-drive motors.
A modern crankset typically consists of:
Crank Arms: The lever arms your pedals attach to.
Chainrings (or "Rings"): The front gears that drive the chain.
Spider: The interface connecting the chainrings to the drive-side crank arm.
Crank Bolts/Axle: The interface that connects the crankset to the bottom bracket and secures the arms.
This refers to the number of front chainrings:
1x (Single): One chainring. Simpler, lighter, less maintenance, popular for MTB and gravel.
2x (Double): Two chainrings. Offers a wide gear range with closer steps, common on road bikes.
3x (Triple): Three chainrings. Very wide range, now less common, historically used for touring.
Crank arm length affects pedaling leverage and comfort. Common lengths range from 165mm to 175mm.
General Rule: Riders are often fitted based on height/inseam. A bike fitter can provide the best recommendation.
Trend: Many riders are moving to slightly shorter cranks for improved comfort and cadence.
Compatibility is critical and depends on:
Bottom Bracket Standard: (e.g., BSA Threaded, PressFit BB86/92, BB30, Hollowtech II, SRAM DUB).
Chainline & Axle Interface.
Please check your bike's specifications or consult our Compatibility Guide before purchasing. When in doubt, contact our support team with your bike/model details.
We use:
High-Strength Aluminum Alloys: For optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio in most models.
Carbon Fiber: Used in high-end models for maximum lightness and vibration damping.
Forged & CNC-Machined: For precise shaping, strength, and reduced weight.
Installation requires specific tools (crank puller, torque wrench, compatible bottom bracket tools). We recommend having installation performed by a professional bike mechanic to ensure correct torque, compatibility, and safety. General installation videos are available on our YouTube channel.
We offer a limited lifetime warranty on our cranksets against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Damage from crashes, improper installation, or use with incompatible components is not covered.
Creaking is often caused by:
Loose crank bolts: Re-torque to specification.
Dirty or worn bottom bracket: Clean, re-grease, or replace.
Pedal threads: Remove, clean, re-grease, and re-install pedals.
Chainring bolts: Check and tighten.
If the issue persists, consult a bike shop.
Yes. We sell replacement chainrings for most of our crankset models. Check the "Replacement Parts" section of our website.
We offer limited customization (e.g., chainring size, maybe color on select models) for OEM/bulk orders. For individual consumers, we offer a range of standard configurations. Contact our sales team for custom project inquiries.
