Stainless steel camlock fittings are produced according to standard A-A-59326(Mil-C-27487) or EN14420-7(DIN2828), also known as Cam &groove couplings, they are mainly composed of male adapter and female coupler. Camlock fittings are easy to install. During the process of installation,no tools are required and hand pressure is enough.Stainless steel fittings are suitable for transporting acidic, alkaline, corrosive substances, seawater, wastewater, hydraulic oil, etc., but not suitable for transporting steam, compressed air and liquid gas.

3. What is the difference between AISI 304 and 316 Stainless Steel?
The choice depends on the operating environment:
AISI 304 (1.4301 / A2): General-purpose "food-grade" stainless steel. Excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals and atmospheric corrosion. Suitable for most applications.
AISI 316 (1.4401 / A4 / Marine Grade): Contains molybdenum (Mo), providing superior resistance to chlorides (salt), acids, and corrosive chemicals. Essential for marine, coastal, chemical, and highly sanitized (chlorinated) environments.
We recommend AISI 316 for maximum service life in demanding conditions.

6. How does the connection/disconnection mechanism work?
Most industrial types (like Camlocks) operate simply:
Connect: Align the coupler halves, push together, and rotate the cam arms (or sleeve) to lock securely. A positive click or visual indicator confirms connection.
Disconnect: Reverse the process. Some dry break models automatically close internal valves before full disconnection to prevent spillage.
