Ductile Iron (Spheroidal Graphite Iron - SGI): Grade 500-7 or 600-3 per EN 1563. This is the premium and most common material. It offers excellent strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance, essential for dynamic rail loads.

Gray Cast Iron (Flake Graphite Iron): For less demanding applications or specific legacy systems.

Special Additives: For plates requiring enhanced wear resistance or specific hardness.

5. What is the difference between Insulated and Non-Insulated plates?
Non-Insulated Plate: Made of solid ductile iron. Conducts electricity. Used in non-electrified tracks or where electrical continuity is required.

Insulated Plate: Features an insulating layer or insert (typically made of glass-reinforced nylon, polyamide, or special composite) bonded to or integrated with the iron casting. This breaks the electrical circuit between the rail and the sleeper/fastener assembly. Critical for track circuit signaling and safety.

6. What manufacturing process do you use?

Melting & Pouring: Controlled melting of iron with precise magnesium treatment for nodularization (in ductile iron).
