1. What is a Milling/Lathe Machined Cylinder Head?
A Cylinder Head is a critical engine component that seals the top of the engine cylinders. "Milling and Lathe Machining" refer to the precision CNC processes we use to manufacture new heads, recondition/rebuild used heads, or perform specific modifications. This includes resurfacing the deck, machining valve seats, guides, and performing porting work.

2. What are your lead times?
New Head Machining (from casting): 40-60 days (includes casting lead time).

Reconditioning Service: 15-25 working days after receiving cores.

Performance Modifications: 20-30 working days.

Samples/Prototypes: Lead time quoted per project.


3. What materials are the heads made from?
We work with industry-standard materials:

Cast Iron: Durable and cost-effective.

Aluminum Alloy (A356-T6, 319)

Special Alloys: For racing or high-performance applications.

4. What is included in a "complete, ready-to-install" cylinder head?
Our "complete" heads typically include:

Fully Machined Head Casting (deck, combustion chambers, bolt holes).

New Valve Seats (machined and pressed-in).

New Valve Guides (installed and honed).

Surface finish to required Ra specification.

3-Angle Valve Job performed on CNC valve seat machines.

Pressure Testing (for cracks and porosity) and dimensional inspection report.
Valves, springs, retainers, and camshafts are usually sold as separate kits but can be assembled upon request.

5.What is your MOQ for new aftermarket heads?
New Aftermarket Heads: MOQ 50 pieces per part number (due to casting order minimums).

Machining/Reconditioning Service: MOQ 10 pieces (can be mixed engine types).

Performance Work: MOQ negotiable, single pieces accepted.
6. What machining equipment and tolerances do you use?
We operate a modern CNC machine shop:

CNC Milling Centers: For deck surfacing, bolt hole drilling, and general machining. Flatness tolerance within 0.05mm.

CNC Valve Seat & Guide Machines: For perfect concentricity between valve guides and seats.

Surface Grinders: For precise cast iron head finishing.

CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine): For final dimensional verification.
We work to OEM specifications or provided engineering drawings.
