Casting is a method of pouring liquid metal into a casting cavity that is adapted to the shape of the part, and then cooling and solidifying it to obtain a part or blank.
The metals to be cast are: copper, iron, aluminum, tin, lead, etc. The materials of ordinary castings are raw sand, clay, water glass, resin and other auxiliary materials. Special casting molds include: investment casting, lost foam casting, metal mold casting, ceramic mold casting, etc.
 

Product Description

Precision casting is a general term for the process of obtaining castings with precise dimensions. Compared with the traditional sand casting process, the castings obtained by precision casting are more precise in size and have better surface finish. It includes: investment casting, ceramic casting, metal casting, pressure casting, and lost foam casting.
Among them, the most commonly used is investment casting, also known as lost wax casting: select suitable investment material (such as paraffin) to make investment mold; repeat the process of applying refractory coating and spreading refractory sand on the investment mold, harden the shell and dry it; then melt the internal investment mold to obtain the cavity; bake the shell to obtain sufficient strength and burn the residual investment material; pour the required metal material; solidify and cool, remove the sand after shelling, so as to obtain a high-precision finished product. According to product needs, heat treatment, cold processing and surface treatment can be carried out.
