6. Is the tie rod reusable?
Yes, reusability is a key economic feature:
With Plastic Sleeve/Sheathing: The rod is pulled out after concrete sets and is 100% reusable. The plastic sleeve remains in the wall.
Snap-Tie System: The rod ends are snapped off after stripping. The inner portion is sacrificial, but the external hardware (wedge, bracket) is reusable. This is less common in premium aluminum systems designed for maximum reuse.
7. How is the system installed?
Installation is systematic and fast:
Erect aluminum formwork panels with aligned tie holes.
Insert the tie rod assembly (with cones attached) through the panels.
Install external components: slide on the tie bracket, then the aluminum waler, secure with nut/washer or wedge.
Connect the bracket/waler to the aluminum scaffolding standard as per the system design.
